I dream of the winter in my heart turning to spring While the ice gives way under my feet And so I drown with the sun I've been burning in water and drowning in flame To prove you wrong and scare you away I admit my defeat and want back home In your heart under the rose I open my eyes with a sigh of relief As the warmth of summer's sunlight dances around me And I see you with dead leaves in your hands I've been burning in water and drowning in flame To prove you wrong and scare you away I admit my defeat and want back home In your heart under the rose -------- Contest picture for the amazing   I had so much fun making this picture, even though it took so many hours. XD I really love this song, and I hope everyone will go listen to it. It's really beautiful. To listen to the song, go to [link] and please go listen to it! It is supposed to look kind of...dreamish. That's why the butterflies are larger than usual. I know those trees are terrible...xP I'm so bad at drawing trees. XD Everything was drawn by hand, except the grass. I got lazy with that.  And the anatomy looks funky..but I tried. Crits are welcome, but be nice. I worked hard on this one. (: I'm sure there are plenty mistakes, but I wanted to upload before spring break ended. Okay, wow. I am in total awe here. I love the snow, you made it look real and powdery, the pawprints are a lovely touch and add realism to this piece. The trees look like hours were spent on to them, and at first, I thought they were part of a photograph. I like the largeness of the butterflies, it really adds to the dreamstate quality of this piece I like the "I drown with the sun" as the sun fades to spring and Nyght is right almost right in the middle signifying that very well. I love the elements in the song: water and fire. Both are shown here, in the snow and the sunlight. You did a FANTASTIC job showing meaning of song in this picture literally but you give us a bit to think about as well!
